Modulr AP – setting up MFA authentication

Learn how to set up access to Modulr AP and MFA (multi-factor authentication).

Once your business has been onboarded and has passed all verification checks, or you've been created as a new user on the Portal, you'll receive an email from us with instructions on how to complete your access setup.

Create a password

Follow the link in the email – you'll land on a screen asking you to set up a password.

Set up authentication

You can choose how you set up MFA (multi-factor authentication) to protect your sign in and access – you can use a passkey with biometrics on your device if it has that capability, or use an authenticator app like Google Authenticate. Follow the information on screen to get set up.

Authentication actions

Some sensitive actions in Modulr AP will require an MFA authentication to proceed. When required, you'll see a pop up requesting your fingerprint or code from your authenticator app to continue. See details here.
