Delegates Overview
About Delegates
What is a Delegate?
A Delegate is a third party, e.g. an Accountant, who (depending on the setup) who can Manage accounts and payments for their clients – their clients consent to access and can be revoked at any time.
Delegates can use Modulr with other accounting or Payroll software such as Brightpay, Iris or Sage to manage customers' payments and accounts.
As a business using Modulr, when you give access to a Delegate, you can control what they are able to do by assigning a role level to them, e.g. you may want them to be able to view accounts and set up payments, but not be able to make a final approval etc.
Using the Modulr Portal as a Delegate
Once you're signed up and set up in the Modulr Portal, go here to learn about features and capabilities of the Delegate Dashboard.
Other Modulr Portal Delegate type users
You may have been set up on Modulr with the Delegate type of access even if you aren't an Account – other use cases such as Umbrella companies; businesses that have or manage multiple other businesses (maybe even their own businesses) can also use what we call the Delegate setup. Articles in these guides referring to Accountant or Delegate set up will also apply to how you use the product's features in your setup.
