Managing Shared Card Details
Once you've created a secure card link, you can check its status, see when it was accessed, adjust settings, or stop sharing the card details entirely.
Viewing your shared links
To see all the links associated with a card:
- Go to the Cards screen
- Find the card whose links you want to review
- Click on the card to open its details
- Select the Links tab
You'll see a list of all links created for this card. Each row shows:
- Email – The recipient's email address (or "Link only" if no email was sent)
- Status – Whether the link is Active, Expired, or Cancelled
- Reveals – How many times the sensitive card details have been viewed, and the reveal limit you set
- Last Revealed – The most recent date someone viewed the card details
Viewing link details
Click on any link in the list to open the Share Card Details window and see more information:
- Activity Log – A timeline showing when the link was created, accessed, edited, expired, or cancelled
- Secure URL – Click the copy button to copy the link to your clipboard. You can paste this into your own emails or messages
- All link settings – Expiry date, reveal limit, and which supporting data is included
Editing an active link
Need to extend the expiry date or adjust the reveal limit? You can edit any link with an Active status.
- Click the link you want to change
- Click Edit in the Share Card Details window
- Update the settings you'd like to change:
Link expiry date
Set a new date when the link will become inaccessible. The date must be:
- In the future
- No later than the card's cancellation date
- No later than the last date of the authorisation window (if the card has one)
Reveal limit
Change how many times the recipient can view the sensitive card details. You can set the limit to any number between:
- The number of times the details have already been revealed + 1 (as the minimum)
- 99 (as the maximum)
For example, if the card details have been revealed 2 times, you can set the limit to anywhere between 3 and 99.
Supporting data
Add or remove supporting information like card limit, authorisation window, booking reference, or guest name. The recipient will see these changes the next time they access the link.
- Click Save to apply your changes
Stopping a link
If you need to revoke access to the card details, you can cancel the link at any time.
- Click the link you want to deactivate
- Click Cancel in the Share Card Details window
- Confirm you want to cancel the link
Once cancelled, the recipient will no longer be able to access the card details. This action cannot be undone.
Re-sending an email
Need to send the link email to the same address again? Here's how:
- Follow the steps for creating a new secure card link (see our Creating Secure Card Links guide)
- Choose the Email option
- Enter the email address you'd like to send to again
- Fill out the rest of the form with your preferred settings
- Click Share
The recipient will receive a new email with a fresh link. The original link will remain active with its own separate reveal count and settings.
Note: Each email address receives its own unique link with independent access limits. If you send to the same address twice, both links will work according to their individual settings.
